Founded in 2011, the Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization fueled by the passion, patience and dedication of the physicians and community partners who donate their time and expertise to support orthopaedic research, injury prevention in youth athletics and community education and outreach. Our main focus is to provide orthopaedic knowledge and support in three key areas: Education Youth Athletics Community Outreach The Orlando Orthopaedic Center Foundation prides itself on a commitment to injury prevention throughout Central Florida through compassion exercised by each of its associated physicians, board members, staff and volunteers. The organization provides the community it serves with athletic training, orthopaedic education and select treatment services to area schools and community-based organizations throughout Central Florida. Select activities of the foundation include but are not limited to: Donating over $50,000 in healthcare services to area high schools for pre-participation sports screening examinations, reaching more than 10,000 students annually while helping area high school athletic programs raise needed operational funds. Providing low cost continuing education credits to over 1,000 statewide allied healthcare professionals via two full-day, annual orthopaedic update seminars. Proactively offering year-round support to sports medicine/athletic training professionals at our area high schools as well as students at the University of Central Florida, Seminole State College and others. Hosting dozens of general educational seminars to parents, educators, coaches and residents throughout Central Florida. Offering ongoing research and preventative medicine opportunities to the Central Florida community. Providing grant support and financial assistance to support local schools, students and youth athletic programs.
