ESSO Hands on Course on Oncological Standards in Minimally Invasive Colorectal Cancer Surgery

Course Aims
This course will provide an introduction to minimally invasive colorectal surgery, specifically focusing on 2D-4k laparoscopic techniques. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of both technical and oncological aspects of laparoscopic colorectal resections, with a particular emphasis on the utilization of Indocyanine Green (ICG) for lymphadenectomy and intra-operative angiography. Practical, hands-on sessions will offer participants the opportunity to perform 2D-4k laparoscopic right hemicolectomy, low anterior rectal resection, intra-abdominal anastomosis, and splenic flexure mobilization on cadavers.

Educational Methods
The course will employ a combination of plenary lectures, how-to videos, hands-on sessions, and interactive discussion to facilitate learning.
