EASL Monothematic Conference: Bacterial Infections in Cirrhosis

 The European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) has decided to organize a Monothematic Conference on Bacterial Infections in Cirrhosis. Bacterial infections are among the most common and life-threatening complications of patients with advanced cirrhosis. Due to its importance, this is a very hot topic for clinicians as well as for researchers in the field of cirrhosis. During the 2 days of the conference, all aspects of bacterial infections will be covered, including pathogenesis, clinical relevance, diagnosis, biomarkers, consequences, treatment, and prophylaxis. The conference will provide all participants a unique opportunity to discuss the recent developments in the field of cirrhosis with an array of speakers that are leaders in their respective areas of research.
