ECTS Clinical Training Course in Metabolic Bone Diseases - Online

This two-day training course – a new initiative from the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) – is specifically designed for clinicians in training with an interest in the field of mineral metabolism and metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis.

The programme will provide participants with the fundamental and advanced knowledge in clinical skills for the evaluation and management of patients with a metabolic bone disease.
Delegates will gain a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic tools and treatment options.
The training course will combine state-of-the-art lectures with discussion of instances and cases. The course will offer ample opportunities for networking and sharing ideas
Learning Objectives
The course features an outstanding international faculty of over 20 expert speakers from across Europe and North America.

Identify the pathophysiological mechanisms and diagnostic approaches for primary, early-onset, and secondary osteoporosis
Evaluate strategies for fracture risk assessment and prevention such as opportunistic screening; implementation of HiVe & FRAX(plus) and the utility of BMD as a primary study endpoint
Recognize the clinical challenges in special populations, such as pregnancy & lactation-associated osteoporosis and MGUS
Integrate disease-specific management strategies for bone health during aging, and systemic disorders.
Engage in interdisciplinary case discussions to enhance decision-making in complex scenarios.
