With an aging population come new challenges in managing patients with spinal disorders. In the last 30 years, there has been great progress in treating spinal disorders using both operative and non-operative techniques. There have also been numerous well-documented studies assessing outcomes of patients with spinal disorders from many treatment plans. However, providers are often facing challenges to properly diagnose, treat and manage the overall treatment process.

In our Fourth Annual Spinal Disorders CME course, we will examine new diagnostic and treatment protocols for patients with a variety of spinal disorders. We will begin by exploring best practices of identifying the most common diagnostic tools and treatment options for low back pain, spinal stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, cervical radiculopathy and cervical myelopathy. We will also review brachial plexus pathologies and treatment plans for patients with rheumatoid arthritis in the cervical spine.

This course will explore both surgical and non-surgical techniques such as physical therapy to refute or confirm the validity of evidence-based treatments, new interventions and their impact on functional outcomes.
